WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. — Following and in anticipation of further heavy rains in the lowlands and in the higher elevations of Whatcom County, the following road closures have been announced by Whatcom County Public Works.

Location Impacted Section Explanation Barrett Road (Ferndale) at corner with Paradise Road closed due to water over roadway Ferndale Road (Ferndale) north of Slater Road caution: water over roadway Ferndale Road (Ferndale) south of Slater Road at gate closed due to water over roadway Marine Drive (Lummi) between Lummi Shore Road and Rural Avenue closed due to water over roadway Bayon Road (Bellingham) east of Marine Drive caution: water over roadway Marine Drive (Bellingham) north of Bayon Road caution: water over roadway Bylsma Road (Lynden) north of E Wiser Lake Road closed due to water over roadway Bylsma Road (Lynden) north of bridge at Polinder Road caution: water over roadway Hampton Road (Lynden) south of Lynden city limits caution: water over roadway Hannegan Road (Lynden) between Lynden city limits and Polinder Road closed due to water over roadway Wickersham Road (Acme) west of Innis Creek Road caution: water over roadway
