If you are new to Ferndale or visiting, all the streets closed this weekend for the Ferndale Street Festival can take you by surprise.
Beginning noon on Friday, there will be two initial street closings (see map).
- 2nd Avenue between Main Street and Vista Drive
- Vista Drive between 2nd Avenue and 3rd Avenue
On Saturday, beginning at 5am, the following will also be closed (see map).

Alder Street is the suggested detour route around Main Street on Saturday.
According to city staff, the intersection at Vista Drive and 3rd Avenue will remain open at all times during the festival. This is part of the detour route during the Washington Street closure.
All streets except Vista Drive and 2nd Avenue will reopen after midnight Saturday. Vista Drive and 2nd Avenue between 3rd Avenue and Main Street will remain closed until Sunday at noon.
“No Parking” signs have been set up to alert drivers to remove their cars from these streets in time to avoid being towed.
