Rear-ender crash on Slater Road sends 1 to the hospital

About 9am today, February 25th, first responders were dispatched to a report of a vehicle fire with a person trapped inside in the 2300 block of Slater Road. When they arrived they found a 2-vehicle crash just east of Red River Road.

The rear-ender crash involving a white SUV and and silver 4-door passenger car sent 1 person via ambulance to PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries according to Whatcom County Fire District 7 Assistant Fire Chief Dean Crosswhite. He said that when they arrived all occupants were outside their vehicles and there was no sign of fire.

Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office deputies were investigating the crash.
