There were no reports that the incidents were related.
The road was reportedly reopened about 3:40pm.
First responders arrived to find flames visible at an exterior entrance.
The suspect attempted to flee the scene in a Batman costume.
BPD issued an advisory asking people to avoid the area during the investigation.
Incidents included a reported burglary in progress and a high-speed pursuit.
The pedestrian, who was not using a crosswalk, later died at the hospital.
The road remained closed until about midnight.
