MAPLE FALLS, Wash. — First responders were dispatched around 12:25pm today, May 21st, due to a report of an occupied vehicle in the water at the Silver Lake Park boat launch.
According to people at the scene, a SUV drove down the boat launch and into the lake until it was floating and 2 adults inside had to scramble to get out and return to shore.
No one appeared injured but a tow truck was needed to pull the SUV back onto dry land.
It appeared human error was the cause according to people at the scene.
