Sunday Forecast is Wet and Windy

rainy weatherThe Seattle office of the National Weather Service advises that tomorrow, Sunday, September 20th, is expected to be rainy and windy.

The greatest likelihood for rain looks to be on the coast and areas north of Seattle. Those areas could see up to an inch of rain, while the northern Cascade Mountains could see 1 to 3 inches. It will also be windy as well, with southerly winds of 15 to 30 mph, with gusts up to 40 mph possible.

Looking at the Nooksack River level forecast, the rains in the Cascades are expected move the river level from 5 feet to 8.5 feet by noon Monday.

The Ferndale forecast is for a quarter to a half-inch of rain during the day and partly cloudy in the evening.  Winds will be strongest early in the morning but the forecast doesn’t indicate very strong winds being expected locally.
