Summary of the current vote count for 2019 County and City races.

FERNDALE, Wash. — After tonight’s, November 7th, election ballot counts, the Whatcom County Election Division says they estimate 2,800 ballots remain to be counted. The following is a summary of the 2019 General Election ballot count results so far.

Whatcom County Executive 
Satpal S. Sidhu is leading Tony Larson with 50.54% of the total votes.

Whatcom County Council – District 4
Kathy Kershner is leading Brian Estes with 75.74% of the total votes.

Whatcom County Council – District 5
Ben Elenbaas is leading Natalie McClendon with 58.92% of the total votes.

Carol Frazey is leading David Ramirez with 60.54% of the total votes.

Whatcom County Sheriff
Bill Elfo is leading Joy Gilfilen with 69.5% of the total votes.

Whatcom County Assessor 
Rebecca Xczar is leading John Romaker with 50.41% of the total votes.

Ferndale Mayor  
Greg Hansen is leading Jon Mutchler with 52.77% of the total votes.

Ferndale City Council – Position 1  
Herb Porter is leading Michael Cox (withdrew) with 68.88% of the total votes.

Ferndale City Council – Position 2 
Paul Bulanov is leading Ali Hawkinson with 49.82% of the total votes (note: a difference of only 1 vote).

Ferndale City Council – Position 3 
Erin Gunter is leading Anya Milton (withdrew) with 67.16% of the total votes.

Ferndale City Council – Position 4 
Paul Shuey is leading Teresa N. Taylor with 49.57% of the total votes (note: a difference of only 24 votes).

Ryan O’Larey is leading Gurpreet (Garry) Sandhu with 73.49% of the total votes.

Ferndale City Council – Position 7
Ramon Llanos is leading Maralise Fegan with 58.41% of the total votes.

WCFD7 Commissioner Position 3
Mike Murphy is leading Scott Brown with 73.74% of the total votes.

Port of Bellingham Commissioner District 3
Robert (Bobby) Briscoe is leading Anthony Distefano with 65.49% of the total votes.

Election results will not be certified as final until Tuesday, November 26th.
