About 12:45pm Fire District 7 was dispatched to a report of a structure fire in the 5500 block of Aldrich Road, between Axton Road and Smith Road. Given the remote location, several tender units (water tanks) were dispatched as well.
The structure was located on a rise at the end of a nearly quarter-mile long driveway. Reports from first responders was that the structure was completely involved when they arrived.
Aldrich Road was closed to all traffic between Axton and Smith Roads due to the amount of fire and aid equipment in the road.
There was no indication of anyone in the building or of any injuries at the time of this posting.
