The Ferndale School Board recently approved unanimously a resolution that will take a replacement Maintenance and Operations (M&O) Levy to the voters during the special election to be held February 9, 2016.
Part of the election process is the preparation of voter pamphlets which include ‘for’ and ‘against’ statements and corresponding rebuttals. The school district said they have found people to provide the statement ‘for’ the M&O Levy and a rebuttal to the ‘against’ statement. So the Whatcom County Auditor is looking for one or more people to provide the ‘against’ statement and the rebuttals to the ‘for’ statement.
After being appointed, committees must submit initial statements to the County Auditor by Wednesday, December 16. The rebuttal statements are due to the Auditor by Monday, December 21.
