WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. — Whatcom County Public Works (WCPW) reopened Slater Road this afternoon after it was closed due to flood water over the roadway on Sunday, January 28th. Hannegan Road also no longer appears on the WCPW list of closed roads.
As of 4pm today, Tuesday, January 30th, the following roads were listed as still being closed.
Road Location Northwood Road between Lynden city limits and Hampton Road Bylsma Road north of E Wiser Lake Rd Flynn Road between Bay Lyn Drive and River Road Harksell Road east of Dahlberg Road Marine Drive between Ferndale Road and Lummi Shore Drive/Road Marine Drive between Bayon Road and Rural Avenue/Country Lane S Church Road south of Ulrich Road Lampman Road between Haxton Way and S Church Road Gillies Road between Alm Road and the Everson city limits Barrett Road at Paradise Road
Numerous other roads were listed as having “water over roadway” signage.
