MAPLE FALLS, Wash. — Several agencies and neighbors have launched an extensive ground search for a Maple Falls woman who has been missing since 9am on Friday, March 10th.
The woman is 66-years-old and was last seen walking the network of trails in the area of Sprague Valley Road with her husband and they got separated. She was wearing red knee-high boots and a patterned teal wool coat.
Residents in the area are asked to check their sheds and other out buildings since there is the possibility she took shelter overnight.
Anyone who sees the woman is asked to call 911.
Summit to Sound Search and Rescue and Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office personnel have been conducting ground searches since Friday that have been supported by a helicopter and drones.
This is a developing story and will be updated as information becomes available.
