Law enforcement from multiple agencies responded when a subject wanted on warrants was initially seen in the area of Malloy Avenue and Aldergrove Road Trigg Road and Portal Way this afternoon.
Neighbors could see Washington State Patrol, Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office and Ferndale Police responding to the area.
A perimeter was established around the area on the east side of I-5 and but that eventually extended to the Malloy Road neighborhoods on the west side.
A K-9 unit was seen tracking in the area of Malloy Road and Aldergrove Road at one point.

The search appeared to have been eventually cancelled without apprehending the subject.
