It was recently announced that the Scottish Lodge had been sold and would soon become a Motel 6. As the picture above shows. Much progress has been made to clean up and convert the building decor.
Side note: while City staff reported the sale to Motel 6, Discover Ferndale has been unable to confirm that. County records continue to show the same ownership since 2000.
