The City of Ferndale has invited the public to a retirement ceremony for Ferndale Police Chief Michael Knapp in tribute to his years of service to the City of Ferndale. He will be retiring at the end of 2016 and the City is holding a casual coffee and cake gathering in his honor Tuesday, December 6th, from 10am to 12:30pm at the Pioneer Pavilion Community Center. A brief program is scheduled for 11am according to the City’s website.

Knapp announced his retirement earlier this summer. Knapp has been Ferndale’s Police Chief since 2005 after replacing Chief Dale Baker.
