UPDATED: Power outage impacted over 700 in north Ferndale and Custer

Before 6pm today, a many in north Ferndale lost power according to reports from impacted neighbors.

Puget Sound Energy initially reported 769 customers were impacted. By 6:35pm that number had been reduced to 216.

The outage is the result of a “car/equipment accident” according to PSE officials. It has been speculated damage from a crash earlier today on Bay Road was the cause. As of 7:50pm, PSE’s estimate for when power would be restored was 1:45am.
