UPDATED: Power outage hits Semiahmoo area

BLAINE, Wash. — Officials with the City of Blaine said this morning they are working to restore power in the Semiahmoo area.

The announcement from the City came about 6:40am.

No information was available as to when the outage began or how many utility customers were impacted.

No cause or estimate for when power may be restored was given.

As of 8:30am, City officials said they were still working to isolate the cause of the outage. No estimate for restoring power was given.

As of 11:55am, City officials said they had isolated the problem and had begun working on restoring power. An estimate of 2 to 3 hours until power would be restored was given.

City officials announced about 12:50pm that power had been restored to the area.
