Power is reported to have been restored as of 5:45pm and the signal is functioning normally.
Original Story
Puget Sound Energy (PSE) confirmed an outage impacting nearly 50 of their customers was first reported at 4:15pm today, October 20th, and is currently estimated to be restored by 6:30pm.
The traffic signal at 4th Avenue and Main Street fell dark as a result of the outage so traffic is stop-and-go through there as it is treated as a four-way stop. Drivers are advised to avoid the area for the time being.
According to city staff, City Hall went dark along with other nearby businesses. Neighbors also report losing power a few blocks away in the Correll Commons neighborhood.
PSE identified the cause of the outage as equipment failure.
