SUMAS, Wash. — City of Sumas officials announced they will be doing an annual test of the local flood siren at 10am on Friday, November 3rd, and it is expected to last a couple minutes.
Outside of tests, the siren is typically activated to warn residents when the Nooksack River has breached its banks uphill in Everson as was done during last year’s disastrous mid-November flooding.
The siren will be a test only, no action needs to be taken.
