Overnight snow expected in the Cascades – advisory issued

WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. — Officials with the Seattle office of the National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory early this morning, April 7th, for the North Cascades mountain range.

The advisory warns to expect snow above 2,000 feet with total snow accumulations of between 4 and 11 inches.

The advisory will be in effect between 8pm tonight through 9am tomorrow and includes all passes between Mount Baker and Mount Rainer including Stevens and Snoqualmie Passes. Drivers should plan to encounter slick roads in these higher elevations.
