Forecasters with the National Weather Service Seattle office issued a special weather statement today to highlight expected warm temperatures this weekend.
The special statement issued this afternoon reads as follows:
Temperatures will remain well above average through Monday. Highs on Saturday will reach the mid to upper 80s across in the interior, hindered slightly by marine air. It will be hotter Sunday and Monday with highs reaching the low 90s across parts of greater Puget Sound, the southwest interior, interior Whatcom County, and possibly a few mountain locations. Low temperatures will only drop into the 60s in the mornings. The Seattle-Bellevue Metro areas will only dip into the mid to upper 60s giving less overnight recovery. Moderating temperatures are expected beginning on Tuesday.
Forecast highs for the Ferndale area as of today, Friday, July 27th are as follows.

As noted in the special weather statement, high temperatures are expected to drop back into the 70s beginning Tuesday, July 31st, reaching a much cooler high of 70° by Thursday, August 2nd.
