WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. — The Seattle office of the National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory on Friday, October 10, 2025, due to expected high elevation snow between Sunday at 5am through Monday at 5am.
* WHAT…High elevation snow expected. Total snow accumulations up to 7 inches.
* WHERE…Cascades of Whatcom and Skagit Counties. Heaviest accumulations above 5000 feet.
* WHEN…From 5 AM Sunday to 5 AM PDT Monday.
* IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…This is expected to be the first notable snowfall in the Cascades this season, especially at higher elevations. People planning on visiting the backcountry should plan accordingly for potentially impactful conditions.
