Officials with the Whatcom County Public Works Department announced this afternoon Northwest Drive, which has been closed since August 24th due to roadwork, is expected to reopen late this evening, September 11th.
The 3-week road closure was required to replace a culvert under Northwest Drive at a location south of Slater Road. Repaving of Northwest Drive is expected to continue “for the next few weeks,” creating some delays but not requiring another road closure according to today’s announcement.
