EVERSON, Wash. — First responders were dispatched to the 1100 block of Everson Road (SR9) about 11:40am on Thursday, October 9, 2025, due to report of a traffic incident.
About 2:55pm, the City of Everson issued an advisory warning motorists the road remained closed.
Washington State Patrol reported Nooksack Road was closed between Tom Road and Lindsay Road after a semi truck loaded with lumber went off the road and rolled over, dumping a load of milled wood. Puget Sound Energy also responded to repair or replace to a damaged power pole.
A resulting power outage left about 1,400 nearby PSE customer addresses without power.
As of 3:30pm, PSE estimated power would restored by 11pm.
