Last Saturday morning a number of neighbors wondered about a low-flying helicopter in the Custer and Ferndale area. More intriguing was how it appeared to be staying alongside a tour train heading south.
Neighbors reported seeing the helicopter circling and flying low, often times in the immediate vicinity of the Rocky Mountaineer tour train as it made it’s way south.
Officials at Rocky Mountaineer told Discover Ferndale the helicopter had been hired by the company to photograph the train as it made it’s way along its Coastal Passage route.
