Raw video of the Nooksack River at Ferndale on Friday (11/13/15) while the river level was at about 15 feet and climbing.
According to the Nooksack River level forecast for Ferndale, it is still expected to just barely reach flood stage (19 feet) approximately noon Saturday, November 14th. Some minor flooding of low-lying areas can be expected when it reaches 17 feet, which is forecast to happen about 9pm tonight.
It is also expected that Slater Road will be temporarily closed sometime tonight or Saturday morning due to water over the roadway according to officials monitoring the situation.
