Lummi Island burn ban lifted but with restrictions

LUMMI ISLAND, Wash. — Whatcom County Fire District 11 announced today, April 24th, that the recent burn ban will be lifted as of tomorrow, April 25th, but with restrictions.

According to today’s announcement, fire danger remains high and written fire permits are postponed. In addition, all fires must be less than 4-feet in diameter and require a permit.

General permits are available at the Islander Store or via the WCFD11 website according to the announcement.
