Looking for a package in the mail? Check the Post Office

The past week of winter weather has been troublesome for neighbors in the Ferndale community, hindering the efforts for many to get out and about. It was also difficult for mail deliveries to occur in some neighborhoods due to snow and ice.

As a result, says Ferndale Post Office Lead Clerk Randy Kaech, the combined result has created what he is calling the Humongous Stack Of Packages (HSOP) at the Post Office.

Now that most roads are clear, Kaech is encouraging neighbors to come to the Post Office on 4th Avenue to pick up their packages.

The Ferndale Post Office customer service counter is open Saturdays from 10am to 12:30pm and during the week from 9am to 5pm. Kaech said early birds can also pick up packages on weekdays from 7am to 9am by ringing the bell by the Will Call door in the lobby (see picture).
