Lawrence Road (SR9) lane closure announced while firefighters deal with ditch fire

EVERSON, Wash. — First responders were dispatched today, July 7th, at 2:25pm, to the intersection of Hoff Road and Lawrence Road due to a report of an outside fire in the area.

Initial reports from the scene were of a 20- by 50-foot fire in the ditch and 1 lane of Lawrence Road was being closed to traffic in both directions as this story was being written (2:45pm).

It was announced the roadway had been reopened at 3:10pm.
