Intersection of 2 Ferndale main arterials to be closed Tues. and Weds.

FERNDALE, Wash. — The City of Ferndale Public Works Department issued an announcement today, Thursday, June 11, 2026, warning motorists to expect delays while the intersection of Church Road and Thornton Street is closed for road maintenance.

According to the announcement, the intersection will be closed from 6:30am to 5pm on Tuesday, June 16th and Wednesday, June 17th, 2026

Maintenance work scheduled includes grinding and repaving the intersection road surface.

Detour signs will direct motorists to detour routes around the closure.

The intersection will reopen nightly and motorcycles and motorists are advised to use caution due to the irregular surface and loose gravel.
