The 6th in a series of high wind events is expected to arrive tomorrow evening and last into Thursday.

A High Wind Watch has been issued by the National Weather Service and will be in effect from tomorrow, Wednesday, December 19th, through Thursday afternoon.

Forecasters say to expect south to southeast sustained winds 25 to 40mph with gusts up to 60mph. The strongest winds are expected to occur near shorelines.

Forecasters say the unsettled weather pattern responsible for the series of windstorms and occasional rains that began last week is expected to continue through the holidays as occasional storms currently out in the Pacific are expected to make their way into western Washington.
