Ferndale Police officers, Bellingham Police officers, Whatcom County Sheriff deputies and Washington State Patrol troopers were involved in a pursuit of a stolen vehicle on northbound I-5 about 2:15pm today, Monday, February 15th.

According to initial radio dispatches, they were pursuing a vehicle reported to be stolen. At one point speeds were cited as a reason to call off the pursuit as the vehicle reportedly weaved through traffic.

The suspect vehicle attempted to exit at Main Street and failed to negotiate the circular off ramp and ended up stopped in the bushes. Law enforcement personnel were able to quickly detain the driver and passengers.
