A localized power outage has hit a cul-de-sac in Ferndale.
According to Puget Sound Energy, 12 11 of their customers (see map from PSE) are without power on Hawthorne Street. The cause was not immediately known.
The outage was reported about 6pm. The estimated time to restore power is 8:30pm.
UPDATE 8:30pm
The estimated time to restore power has been updated to 10:30pm. Work crews have arrived on the scene. No cause has been reported yet.

The news isn’t good. The outage was caused by an equipment failure and it appears it will take a few hours to get the replacement equipment on-site. The revised estimated time to restore power is now 1:30pm tomorrow.

This is much better news. The revised estimate time to restore power is now 12am (midnight tonight).
