Flags lowered in memory of Governor Lowry

Washington State Governor Jay Inslee issued a directive Monday for Washington State and United States flags at all state agency facilities be lowered to half-staff Thursday, May 25th, in memory of former Governor Mike Lowry who passed away on May 1 at the age of 78 due to complications from a stroke.

Flags should remain at half-staff until close of business on Tuesday, May 30th.

Memorial services for Lowry will be held on May 30th, at 10:30 am at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Renton, Washington.
