Firefighters are on the scene of what dispatchers described as a several acre fire.
The fire is located in a wilderness area north of Grandview Road and east of Blaine Road.
No other details are available as crews have just arrived.
Update 2:15pm
Firefighters have knocked down the fire.
The field is adjacent to a wilderness buffer area owned by BP. Fire apparatus and crews could only access the fire location through gated entrances. According to a BP employee, there are no structures in the area of the fire and farmers are allowed to tend the fields. A neighbor said the farmer tending the field that caught fire had just hayed it within the last couple days.
This is the same area that was hit by a much larger fire exactly a year ago.
