Employees at the Ferndale location of Les Schwab Tires are looking forward to the completion of a remodeling project that is already underway.
The “modernization” project, as a store spokesperson referred to it, will bring the
the customer service area up to par with other newer locations elsewhere. New flooring, paint, shelving and countertops plus cafe-style seating along the windows are all part of the project.
The cafe style seating will provide customers a place they can work on portable computers while waiting on work to be done to their vehicles.
It was a trick, according to the spokesperson, to find storage in their warehouse for all the tires previously on the racks in the customer service area. But it was accomplished.
The customer service area it looks very empty from the street with the tires and shelving removed, causing some driving by to wonder if the business was closed. Quite the opposite, the spokesperson said. Not only are they not closing, they are investing in the business.

Being the one who personally had to get all of the tires in the showroom to fit in the limited space in the warehouse, let me tell you! That truly was a trick and half! I work as sales and service at this Les Schwab location and was in charge of moving all the tires.
