According to a Facebook post by the City of Ferndale, Motel 6 has acquired the Scottish Lodge and will be opening mid-January. Workers are currently taking apart the large outside sign, a long-standing fixture at the I-5 exits into Ferndale, to be replaced with a Motel 6 branding.
