Ferndale-based Barron Heating & Air Conditioning announced this month they will be launching ‘Solar by Barron,’ a new division of the company focused on sun-powered heating and cooling solutions.

According to a press release from the company,

“Our certified solar designers create systems for residential and commercial buildings that don’t require direct sunlight,” said John Barron, owner of Barron Heating. “Heating and cooling systems are the largest consumers of energy in the home. Our solar designs not only eliminate that expense but also address the entire energy usage of the building.

“Solar energy reduces one’s electricity costs, adds to a home’s value and is better for the environment,” Barron added. “A rooftop solar array can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by as much as 24 vehicles driven for one year.”

An open house has been scheduled to celebrate the launch of the new division. It will be from 5pm to 7pm on March 28th at the company’s showroom located at 5100 Pacific Highway. There will be refreshments and up to $8,000 in door prizes and giveaways (must be present to enter). Since space is limited, attendees are asked to RSVP by clicking here by March 14th.
