FERNDALE, Wash. — The Ferndale Community Resource Center and Ferndale Laundry have announced a partnership to provide low-income individuals and families access to laundry facilities.

According to the announcement, laundry vouchers can be obtained from the Ferndale Community Resource Center during office hours. Each voucher is good for 1 cold-water wash and 1 dry. Washers have 20-pound capacity and dryers a 30-pound capacity. Ferndale Laundry can provide the detergent.

“We have been working toward this goal for at least 10 years,” Ferndale Community Resource Center Program Coordinator Terri Temple said. Ferndale Laundry Owner Mike Cox said, “We are happy to support our community in this worthwhile endeavor.”

This is a pilot program which has not been fully funded for the entire year. Until funding is obtained we are limiting vouchers to 1 per family per month. We hope to move to 2 per month by May.
