BELLINGHAM, Wash. — First responders were dispatched to the Slater Road on-ramp to southbound I-5 at 9:25pm last night, May 29th, due to a report of a rollover crash.

Washington State Patrol Trooper Rocky Oliphant said 2 cars were involved in the minor injury crash.

Oliphant said the driver of a 2004 Kia Amanti that rolled was determined to have caused the crash and suspected of driving under the influence. The driver’s name was not provided.

Both vehicles involved, the Kia and a 1994 Toyota Celica, were towed from the scene, Oliphant said.

Washington State Department of Transportation officials reported the on-ramp was closed until 10:45pm.
