Police were notified the traffic signal at 3rd Avenue and Main Street had gone dark about 11am. Soon after Puget Sound Energy (PSE) announced an outage had occurred in the downtown area.
No cause has been reported but as of 11:45am, PSE reported 6 customers were impacted by the outage and the estimate for restoring power is 1:30pm.
Update 12:10pm
PSE reports power has been restored in the area. The outage was blamed on a bird or animal.
