BLAINE, Wash. — An ABC news outlet in Tennessee reported yesterday that fugitives arrested by the Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office on July 26th are suspects in a murder that occurred in June.
Michael Amandeus Brooks, age 27, was wanted for suspicion of 1st-degree murder and Kayla Lynn Brooks, age 26, was wanted for suspicion of being an accessory to a felony after the fact.
A Hamilton County Grand Jury has indicted a 27-year-old man on charges he shot a Soddy-Daisy man to death back in June.
57-year-old Mark Thompson was found outside a house near Dayton Pike. He had been shot a total of six times, as well as stabbed.

According to Whatcom County Jail records, Michael Amandeus Brooks was released to Tennessee authorities on August 3rd and Kayla Lynn Brooks was released today, August 6th. Both had waived their right to oppose Tennessee’s extradition request.
