Last year, several key staff retired from the Ferndale School District. Recently one returned from retirement to take a unique administrative position.
Elvis Dellinger was recently appointed to the position of director of maintenance and transportation.
Dellinger retired last year from his position as executive director of special projects.
According to a district announcement, Dellinger will only hold the position for a year. During that time he will be training the future director of transportation and director of maintenance.
According to District Superintendent Linda Quinn, “Elvis has a wealth of administrative experience, and we believe he is the perfect person to mentor up and coming leaders in our district.”
