The 12u Cal Ripken World Series championship team from Ferndale returned home Friday night and were immediately treated to a police and fire procession and crowds of fans. Once the team’s vans crossed the Nooksack River bridge, players and coaches got out and walked down to 2nd Avenue where they were swarmed by cheering fans.
A daytime homecoming has been scheduled for tomorrow afternoon.
