Ferndale Police Sergeant Travis Card said the mail vehicle was turning onto Church Road from Norway Drive when it collided with a Cadillac passenger car that was southbound on Church Road.
The driver of the Cadillac was transported to PeaceHealth St Joseph Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries according to Whatcom County Fire District 7 Division Chief Justin Iverson.
The driver of the mail vehicle was issued an infraction for failing to obey the stop sign.
