Boys and girls in kindergarten through 8th grade are invited to learn about rugby from three experienced coaches who have played on the Chuckanut Bay Geoducks rugby team at the Chuckanut Bay Youth Rugby Summer Camp.
The camp is scheduled to be held July 9th through the 12th at the Bellingham Polo and Rugby Fields, which, contrary to the name, is actually in Ferndale at 7090 Dahlberg Road.
According to organizers, attendees will participate in drills, fun and games developed around camaraderie, sportsmanship and respect. Coaches scheduled to lead the camp include:
- Shawn Pittman – current USA Men’s National team coach
- Alex Cleary – USA Youth Olympic athlete 2018
- Jake Burns – U18 USA National team rep
