With only a little chance of rain forecast for this weekend it will be a good time to check out the wonderfully groomed walking and riding trails around Hovander Homestead Park and Lake Tennant or enjoy a walk around downtown since many merchants will be open.

At the time of writing this, the weather forecast for Sunday, May 10 (or Mothers Day to many) is for a beautiful sunny day after morning clouds. So it only makes sense to celebrate Mothers Day while enjoying the beauty of Ferndale. Fortunately, Ferndale offers several wonderful places to go and some are exceptionally well-suited if you are bringing kids and/or the family dog along while others are better suited for leisurely strolls or drives.
Second graders from Ferndale elementary schools are visiting the pioneer cabins at Pioneer Park this month to experience what day-to-day life in Ferndale was like in early pioneer days.

Lenny’s Bike Shop is celebrating their 1st Year Anniversary today with specials and a bike playground set up in Griffintown Park. There’s a great “Strider” course for the little tikes (video below) that will make both them and you smile as they accomplish obstacles along the way.
Sunny days are forecast for this weekend and there are plenty of excuses to get out and about in Ferndale.
