Today’s commute – weather – events. Right here in Ferndale.
7:30am: Good morning. First, Washington Street has reopened to all traffic. There’s a substantial dip where the trench has been temporarily covered so drivers be alert. Otherwise it is a cold but dry morning with temperatures in the mid to upper 30s.
The 7th Annual Stigs-Bowl-A-Rama is scheduled for 6pm on February 27th at Mt Baker Lanes. It is a fund-raiser to support research for a cure for pulmonary fibrosis and infections through the efforts of Breathing Matters, a center for respiratory research.
7:30am: Good morning. Your morning update is a little late as we have been covering the unexpected prolonged closure of Washington Street this morning. Other than that little snafu, it is simply a cold and dry morning out with temperatures around Ferndale in the mid-30s. If you have a view of the sunrise, it would probably be a good idea to grab your camera. Send us your pictures and we will happily share them with your neighbors.
Vista Middle School, Vista Middle School ASB, Whatcom County Health Department and Ferndale Community Coalition are hosting a video presentation followed by community discussion at Vista Middle School tonight at 7pm.

6:40am: Good morning. Another chilly and wet morning. The temperature around Ferndale has dropped a few degrees to the mid-thirties over the past couple hours. Rains have been off and on as well.
