WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. — As of 11am, April 13th, Birch Bay-Lynden Road was temporarily closed in both directions at Woodland Road due to a rollover crash with injuries. The road reopened to traffic in both directions about 11:30am.

First responders were dispatched to the scene about 10:25am.

According to Washington State Patrol Trooper Rocky Oliphant, the driver was transported by aid to PeaceHealth St Joseph Medical center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The vehicle, described as a Dodge Durango, was heading westbound on Birch Bay-Lynden Road when it left the road and struck a pole on the north side of the road. It ended up on its side in a grassy area next to the road.
