BLAINE, Wash. — The City of Blaine announced an emergency road closure on Bell Road beginning today, Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at about 3:30pm. The closure affects the segment of road east of Peace Portal Drive to Hughes Road.
The closure is required for emergency electrical repairs. City officials expect the road to remain closed until late in the day on May 1, 2026.
Local access for residents and businesses will be maintained during the repair period. Detour signage is in place to direct motorists to alternate routes.
