The National Weather Service (NWS) Seattle office has issued a Winter Storm Warning until 4am tomorrow.

NWS warns of 1 to 2 inches of snow today and into tonight and ice accumulation of up to a half an inch as freezing rain falls this evening.

The combination of snow, rain and freezing rain will result in slippery roads which will create hazardous travel conditions, NWS warns.

The threat of ice on trees and power lines increases the probability for downed trees and branches blocking roads. Downed trees and branches, along with the weight of ice on power lines can put a lot of stress on the lines and damage equipment.

Neighbors should be prepared for driving challenges and possible power outages.
